Man in gallery roof death plunge

A man has died after falling from the roof of a building in a Kent town.

Police were called at 11.30am Monday after the man plunged from the top of the Joem Gallery building in Deal into the courtyard at the back of the Hey Hey Chinese take-away.

The man - who came from Maidstone - was pronounced dead at the scene. His death is not being treated as suspicious.

Jenny Spencer-Griggs works at RS Whites Estate Agents and was alerted to the incident by the manager of the take-away.

She said: "He was at the gallery and had gone there to repair a leak. It looks like he fell from the very top of the roof."
