A MAN accused of carrying out two armed robberies in Kent appeared in court on Friday.

Mark Dalligan, 39, is alleged to have robbed a Securicor van of £55,000 in January and a Securitas van of £75,000 in April.

In the second incident a member of the public was said to have been shot at and injured.

Dalligan appeared at Maidstone Crown Court via a prison TV link. As well as the two robbery charges he also faces a firearms offence.

The Securicor van was held up at the M20 service station in Hollingbourne, and the Securitas van was robbed at the Asda store in Ashford.

Dalligan, of Tarves Way, Greenwich, was remanded in custody until his next hearing on September 29.
