This is Robert Mobey, who plunged to his death from the bridge over the A2 at Wincheap.

Mr Mobey, 45, had only recently been released from prison.

He jumped from the bridge, which joins Wincheap with Thanington, onto the London-bound carriageway last Thursday and was hit by a vehicle.

Mr Mobey, a father of nine, who was also known as Robert Brazil, lived in Godwin Road on the Thanington estate.

His sister, Virginia Mobey, of Cockering Road, said he had been depressed since leaving prison in July.

“I was very close to Robert and had tried to help him over the years and what has happened has been terribly upsetting,” she said.
