Man held over fertiliser business thefts

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of theft after a trailer worth several hundred pounds and copper cabling were stolen from a Kent business.

The thefts took place at a fertiliser business on Rushenden Road, Queenborough.

On arriving at the compound on Saturday morning, the owner discovered the items missing.

The trailer was later recovered from a nearby garage block while some copper cabling was found yesterday on waste ground on Well Road, Queenborough.

A 41-year-old man from Queenborough was arrested at his home and taken to Sittingbourne Police Station where he is being questioned.

An 18-year-old man was arrested after the discovery of what is thought to be a stolen motorbike at the same address. He is also being questioned at Sittingbourne Police Station.
