A GILLINGHAM man charged with abducting a 14-year-old girl was today remanded in custody until a Crown Court appearance next month.

David Milner, 46, of Victoria Street, will appear before a judge at Maidstone Crown Court on December 19 for a plea and directions hearing.

Mr Milner appeared before Medway magistrates on a video link from Elmley Prison on the Isle of Sheppey.

At an earlier hearing at Medway Court, Mr Milner faced 22 charges of unlawful sexual intercourse, gross indecency and indecent assault. He had denied the abduction charge.

He now only faces 11 charges - one of abduction, five of indecency with a child and five of unlawful sexual intercourse. He entered no plea at today’s hearing.
