Man faces trial after admitting killing

A man has admitted killing 36-year-old Ted Shaxted in Northfleet in December last year.

Trevor Lees, 35, pleaded guilty to manslaughter but denied murder.

Kelvin Horlock, 29, and Bill Saunders, 27, have also denied murder.

Saunders, of Shamrock Road, Gravesend, Horlock, of Hatfield Road, Strood, and Lees, of London Road, Northfleet, appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday by TV link from Elmley Prison, Sheppey.

They were remanded in custody and will stand trial on January 5 next year.

Mr Shaxted, 36, died at Darent Valley Hospital on December 16 after being attacked at his flat in Wallis Park two weeks earlier.
