Man extradited to face murder charge

A MAN extradited from Amsterdam appeared in court on Saturday charged with the murder of a 29-year-old man who was shot dead in Chislehurst.

John Edward Seton, 24, unemployed and of no fixed address, was extradited on Friday and taken to a south London police station where he was charged with the murder of Jon Bartlett.

He was brought before Croydon Magistrates' Court on Saturday morning and remanded in custody until a plea and case management hearing at the Old Bailey, in August.

Mr Bartlett, who lived in Mottingham and ran a car repair shop in Erith, was found shot dead in School Road, Chislehurst, on March 31 last year.
