A 53-year-old man has appeared in court accused of handling money stolen in the £53million Securitas raid.

Keith Borer, of Hampstead Lane, Yalding, near Maidstone, is charged with dishonestly receiving stolen goods, namely £6,100 belonging to Securitas Cash Management Ltd.

Borer, dressed in a beige long-sleeved T shirt and grey combat trousers, appeared before magistrates in Maidstone. He gave his name and address and entered a not guilty plea.

Magistrates adjourned the case until August 22 when Borer will be committed to the crown court for trial. He has been released on conditional bail.
