Man charged with wounding

A man is due to appear before magistrates in Margate this morning charged with wounding a man in Ramsgate on Bank Holiday Monday.

The incident happened in the early hours of May 5 at the Oak Hotel in Harbour Parade.

A 22-year-old Ramsgate man is in a criticial condition and is being treated for head injuries at King's College Hospital in London.

Adam Pepper, 21, of Kennet Green, Northampton, was charged by police yesterday.

It is understood he is a member of a visiting rugby team.
