A man has been charged with fraud after an investigation into the purchase of race horses in alleged offences involving a sum of money in excess of £5 million.

Michael Baker, 28, of Allington Cottages, Pilgrims Way in Hollingbourne has been charged with four offences of dishonestly making a false representation contrary to sections 1 and 2 of the Fraud Act 2006.

Mr Baker will appear before Maidstone Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning charged with the fraud.
