Man, 22, attacked as he breaks up couple's row in Margate

A young man was attacked when he tried to break up a row between a couple.

The 22-year-old suffered neck and facial injuries as well as a suspected fractured eye socket in Margate.

Kent Police believe he had been intervening in an argument between a man and his girlfriend.

It happened near Primark in The Parade between 3am and 3.50am on Saturday.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested and released on bail pending further inquiries.
