Man, 20, due in court over cat-swinging

This CCTV footage was
released after the cat-swinging

A young man will appear in court
accused of swinging a cat by its tail.

Riain Richards, from Ramsgate, is said
to have caused unneccessary suffering to the animal.

The 20-year-old is due before
Canterbury magistrates on Tuesday, February 28.

The incident was recorded on CCTV
outside the Camden Arms pub in Ramsgrate on October 29 last
year.

The terrified cat, called Mowgli, ran
away and was not injured.

The RSPCA described it as a "very
violent and nasty attack".
