JustStopOil activists glue themselves to petrol pumps at Cobham and Clacket Lane services on M25

Nine people have been arrested after gluing themselves to petrol station pumps on the M25.

Activists from JustStopOil have closed two petrol stations at the Clacket Lane and Cobham services this morning.

Surrey Police have confirmed three people have been arrested after the pumps were damage. They are now out of use.

The force said: "We are working as quickly as we can to remove the protesters from the service stations.

"We appreciate the disruption this is causing and we are working as quickly as we can to remove the protesters from the service stations."

There is currently no petrol available at either station due to the damage, including on both sides of Clacket Lane.

JustStopOil took to Twitter to about the protests.

Alongside pictures of the incidents, it said: "Record breaking temperatures, wildfires, failing harvests, disappearing rivers, dying trees & a destitution level #CostOfLivingCrisis - the plan is to make it worse for another 30 years."
