Police have reopened the M25 this afternoon after a multi-vehicle crash caused chaos.

Drivers suffered heavy delays on the London-bound section towards the Dartford Crossing this morning

It followed a pile-up involving six cars at 11am this morning.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "The M25 anti-clockwise has now reopened following a six-vehicle road traffic collision.

"The collision occurred on the flyover between junctions 3 and 2.

"Traffic was diverted around the incident via the intersection roundabout below the junction. No serious injuries were reported.

"Kent Police would like to thank motorists who experienced delays whilst the emergency services cleared the scene."
