Kent's final LV=County Championship match of the season against Glamorgan at Canterbury next week will be a played as a day/night match in white clothing with a pink ball.

The hours of play will be 2pm to 9pm each day, with the usual 30 minutes available on each of the first three days to make up for any time lost on that day.

The floodlights will be turned on at 5.30pm each day or earlier if required should natural light deteriorate.

Kent County Cricket Club chairman George Kennedy said they were thrilled to be the first county to host a Championship match under floodlights.

"It is an exciting development for the game and all eyes will be on Canterbury next week to see how it goes.” he said.
