Lorry driver killed in M11 crash from Maidstone

A lorry driver killed in a crash on the M11 came from Maidstone, it has been confirmed.

Zdzislaw Piorko, 53, died when his lorry was involved in a collision with a coach between junctions 9 (Great Chesterford) and 8 (Stansted Airport) of the motorway, in Essex in the early hours of Saturday.

A passenger on the coach, 63-year-old Delia Walker from Yorkshire, was also killed.

Three coach passengers have been admitted to hospital and are being treated for back injuries.

Other passengers were taken to hospital as a precaution and have been released.
