Lorry driver held after M20 roundabout crash

A lorry driver has been arrested on suspicion of careless driving after a crash on a Kent motorway roundabout.

The incident happened at around 2am at junction 12 of the M20 at Folkestone.

The lorry left the road at the roundabout and police said the vehicle was hanging over the parapet.

The roundabout was closed but was expected to reopen after rush hour.

The barrier has now been made safe and once the lorry has been recovered from the site, the exit slip road can be reopened.

People wishing to use the M20 London-bound are advised to go to J11 instead of J12.

Coastbound M20 traffic for the Channel Tunnel remains unaffected.
