Lifeboat involved in trawler rescue

A TRAWLER had to be towed into harbour on Tuesday night after breaking down in the Channel.

Dover lifeboat was launched at 5.45pm when the crew of the 125-tonne trawler Angel Emile asked for assistance seven miles south of Dover in the south-west shipping lane.

The trawler, with four people on board, was on its way to Brixham.

Lifeboat coxswain Duncan Mackay and seven crew located the trawler and towed her to the Dover Harbour at 8.30pm.
