Four Gillingham players will be hoping to prove their fitness ahead of this weekend’s game against AFC Wimbledon.

Leon Legge, Bradley Dack and Charlie Lee all picked up knocks last weekend, while Myles Weston will be hoping to return after missing the last two matches.

All of the players will be assessed on Friday but definitely missing, with a broken toe, will be left-back Joe Martin.

Legge (pictured) has a hip /hamstring injury, Dack has a recurrence of an ankle injury following a heavy challenge, while Lee also has an impact injury after a high tackle at Cheltenham.

"We will have to wait until Friday to see if they can make it," said Gills boss Allen.

"Leon is struggling and should have come off at half-time (last weekend). Joe Martin couldn’t carry on and could we have taken two of our back four off at half-time? We could have done but he was just about OK to go on and we will see how he is."

Callum Davies, Adam Birchall and Danny East were all pulled out of Tuesday’s 3-2 reserve victory at Leyton Orient as a precaution, as Allen didn’t want any more senior players picking up knocks. One player who could return, however, is Myles Weston but only if the time is right.
