Laughing driver hits schoolgirl in Dover

A hit-and-run driver laughed and accelerated off after deliberately smashing into a 13-year-old girl.

Police are now hunting the thug after Saturday's shocking incident in Biggin Street, Dover.

It happened around 3pm as the girl was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "When the girl shouted at the driver, he laughed and drove off.

"The girl was taken to hospital suffering with a knee injury.

"The offender is described as a white man aged in his late teens or early 20s with short blonde or light brown hair, and was driving a small car like a Fiesta, which was silver or light blue."
