Killer dog is traced

A SAVAGE dog that killed a Labrador and injured its owner has been found by police.

The killer animal was identified by the owner when she accompanied Tonbridge and Malling dog warden, Brian Milligan to an address in East Peckham, near Maidstone, on Tuesday evening.

Mr Milligan had spent the week following up information provided by Kent Messenger readers in the ross Hadlow and East Peckham, and said it was like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

The killer German Shepherd mauled the woman's dog in a field between the two villages, on Tuesday, March 30, as they were walking near Bells Farm Road.

It appeared to be on the loose without its owner and bit the woman's hands as she tried to protect her pet.

West Kent Police and Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council have not said whether the dog was taken away or remains with its owner.
