Kent will begin their quest for an immediate return to the LV= County Championship top flight with a game against Essex at Chelmsford on Friday, April 8.

The first home match is against Gloucestershire at the St Lawrence Ground on April 26 before a run of home fixtures in the Clydesdale Bank 40, starting wiht the visit of Worcestershire on Sunday, May 1.

Tunbridge Wells festival week starts on Sunday, May 29, with a four day Championship fixture against Leicestershire, while the Nevill Ground also hosts Friends Provident t20 fixtures against Somerset and Hampshire.

There will also be two FP t20 matches at Beckenham, including the visit of Surrey Lions on Sunday, June 26.

The club will play three floodlit t20 fixtures under the new St Lawrence lights, while there will also be a twenty over fixture against Glamorgan at Canterbury on Sunday, July 3.

Canterbury Cricket Week is a week later this year and begins with a home match against Surrey on Wednesday, August 10.

There will be 10 days of cricket spread over two weeks including two four-day matches and a one-day fixture against the Netherlands in the CB40.

Kent has also been awarded a one-day match against the Indian touring side which will be played under lights at Canterbury on Friday, August 26.

The regular domestic season concludes with a home four-day match against Glamorgan starting on Monday, September 12.
