Kent on the winning trail in Cup

Kent made a winning start to their Middleton Cup campaign with a 139-85 win over Middlesex at Canterbury.

They won five of the six rinks with Gordon Charlton’s winning by the biggest margin 29-8.

The other rink scores were: Paul Barnicott: won 25-11, Roger Kendrick: won 18-13, Mark Johnson: won 29-16, Duncan Hanmore: lost 20-21, Andy Thomson: won 18-16.

Kent take 20 points from the game and Middlesex two.

The county are next in action against Buckinghamshire, also at Canterbury, on June 21
