Kent Olympic star Adam Gemili is set to be back on track just five days after the London 2012 Closing Ceremony.

Dartford's Gemili is named on the provision start list for the DN Galan Athletics meeting in Stockholm on Friday night, part of the prestigious international Diamond League circuit.

In his first Diamond League event, 18-year-old former Dartford Grammar School pupil Gemili is the youngest in the 100m field by some four and a half years.

After missing out on the Olympic final by just 0.4 seconds, Gemili will face Olympic finalist Ryan Bailey of the USA and two members of the Jamaican 100m relay team, Michael Frater and Nesta Carter.

The 100-year-old Olympic Stadium in the Swedish capital is set to host a crowd of around 14,000 fans, a far cry from the 80,000 which roared on Gemili in the 4x100m relay just a week before.

However the stadium does have a special place in history, 83 world athletics records have been set there, more than at any other venue.

Kent's Lisa Dobriskey and Jack Green were also named on the provisional start list but have withdrawn so soon after the Games.

Do you think Gemili will be on a high or a low after the Olympics? Have your say below.
