Kent off-spinner James Tredwell has been left out of the England one-day squad for the forthcoming clash with Scotland and the NatWest Series against Australia.

Tredwell (pictured) was an unusued member of England's triumphant World Twenty20 success in the Caribbean last month having made his Test and one-day debuts for his country in the tour of Bangladesh in March.

The 28-year-old was first called into the one-day squad for the tour of South Africa last December following an injury to Graeme Swann, though he did not play a game as England won the series 2-1.

England face Scotland in Edinburgh on Saturday, June 19, before six one-day clashes against Australia, which begin three days later at Hampshire's Rose Bowl in Southampton.

National selector Geoff Miller said: "We have named a slightly smaller squad for this summer's NatWest Series than in previous years as our own programme closely mirrors the England Lions' schedule for their triangular series against India A and West Indies A."
