Is Panto Joe losing the jungle race?

Is it a bird is it a plane?...

Viewers watched Joe Swash conqueror his fear of heights after he volunteered to take part in the Tower of Terror Bush Tucker trial.

The Ex-EastEnder, who is due to appear at the Central Theatre next week, had to wear a blue leotard to take part in the challenge which saw him walk along three planks and shimmy along two red poles to collect five stars.

The sixth star was at the top of the 100 foot tower.

But it would seem Joe was more worried about the costume he had to wear than the task ahead.

Joe said: "I was excited until I've seen what I've got to wear. A man's leotard, I'm gonna look like a doughnut in this."

To give himself a superhero appearance Joe decided to put a pair of Simon Webbe's white pants over the top of the leotard.

Before starting the challenge he told presenters Ant and Dec "Podgy tum, skinny legs, I look like a smurf."

Despite his fears the cheeky Cockney retrieved all six stars but his camp mates felt his efforts weren't duly rewarded as they were only given vegetables to make their evening meal with.

Joe had been tipped to win I'm a Celebrity but it seems David Van Day is now the bookie's favourite.

Since entering the camp David has stirred up trouble over sleeping arrangements, not helping with cleaning duties and generally rubbing people up the wrong way.

When he was targeted by fellow team mates Joe stood up for David saying he hadn't been given a fair crack of the whip since his late arrival on the reality TV show. Joe even made Nicola cry when he told her she especially was being unkind and rude to David.

But it seems the joke was on Joe after David revealed during a Celebrity Chest Challenge with Page 3 girl Nicola McLean, that it was all part of his game plan.

David then tried to encourage the busty beauty to join him on his mission by suggesting they should flirt with one another to make Joe jealous.

He also hoped it would encourage viewers to keep the pair of them in the jungle until the end.

Instead of joining forces Nicola decided to blow his plan right out of the water by telling Joe everything.

The busty beauty, who became the seventh celebrity to be evicted from the camp, looked horrified when presenters Ant and Dec revealed that David was now likely to win the show.

She said: "He knew Joe was was favourite to win and targeted Joe. Fair play to him he knows what he's doing. It's just the extended nastiness I don't like.

"I could have had a better time with Joe if that vile, vile creature hadn't come in."

Joe will play Buttons in Cinderella at the Central Theatre, Chatham, from Friday, December 12.
