Mos suffered their first home defeat of the season with Sunday night’s 5-2 loss to the Raiders, who now sit top with an eight point cushion.

Even if Kevin Parrish's (pictured) Mos side win their games in hand they will still be trailing the Raiders and the destiny of this season’s title is now out of their hands.

The visitors struck first in the match at the Silver Blades Ice Rink just seconds before the end of the first period with a poked effort that went beyond keeper Andy Moffat.

Mos pulled level in the second, with a close-range finish from Andy Smith, following a neat interchange with Callum Fowler to make it 1-1 going into the third.

Raiders’ player/coach Jeremy Cornish put them back ahead and a third soon followed.

Daniel Borges made it 3-2 but the two goal cushion was restored with another strike from Cornish and the Mos were finished off when a poor defensive pass left Jason Gorrie one-on-one with the goalie and he netted to make it 5-2.
