Inquest into Bill Treeby death opened

An inquest into the death of convicted killer Bill Treeby has been opened and adjourned.

Mr Treeby was found in his cell at Elmley Prison on the Isle of Sheppey on Sunday, December 12, two days after he had been found guilty of murdering his brother, Jack Treeby, along with his sons, Billy Jnr and George.

An inquest will be held at a later date. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death has been launched by the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman.
