AN ELDERLY pedestrian was taken to hospital with leg injuries after he was in collison with a blue Ford Fiesta.

The incident happened at about 10.30am on Sunday at Huntsman Lane, near the Holiday Inn in London Road, Wrotham Heath.

The pedestrian was taken by a Kent Air Ambulance crew to Maidstone Hospital where his condition was later described as "stable".

The road was closed for about an hour while the emergency services attended the incident.

An 18-year-old motorist, from Borough Green, near Sevenoaks, was arrested on suspicion of careless driving. He was given police bail pending further inquiries.
