Huge shopping complex opens in Thanet

THANET'S new £100m shopping centre officially opened for business for the first time today.

Westwood Cross is expected to play a major role in the regeneration of the district, pulling in shoppers from across the county.

Many thousands of eager customers are expected at the centre today. The project has created around 1,500 new jobs.
