Hotfoot it for summer sport

Football, martial arts and games are some of the activities to keep youngsters entertained during the summer holidays.

A series of Hotfoot summer play schemes begin on Monday, July 27 for children aged between five and 11

Organised by Maidstone council, activities include visits from Maidstone United, Kixx Martial Arts, Pegasus Gymnastics Club, arts and crafts and sports activities.

Advance registration has closed but the council says there should be places available for those who turn up and pay on the day.

Venues for the play scheme include Bower Grove School, Fant Lane, Maidstone; Oaktrees Community School, Oaktrees Avenue, Mangravet; Sandling Primary School, Ashburnham Road, Maidstone and Eastborough Primary School, Vinters Road, Maidstone.

The Bower Grove and Oaktrees venue will be open from Monday, July 27 until Friday, August 21. The Sandling and Eastborough sites will run from Monday, July 27 to Friday, August 14.

Each site will be open daily from 10am to 2pm. The daily rate per child is £6 (£4 concessions.) The price per week for one child is £25 (£15 concessions), two children is £50 (£28.20 concessions) and for three children is £61.20 (£36 concessions).
