Hall and Kemp's world record stand

KENT’S Andrew Hall and his former St Lawrence team-mate Justin Kemp wrote their names into the one-day cricket annals with Sunday’s world-record partnership in South Africa’s 106-run win over India.

The pair came together with the Proteas at 136-7 in the 50-over game in Cape Town.

Kemp hit an unbeaten 100 from 89 balls as the duo added 113 from the last 10 overs of the innings. Hall added 56 from 47 balls as the eighth-wicket pair totalled a world record 138 runs in only 14.1 overs.
