Goalkeeper Alan Julian knows that if he can stop Wycombe from scoring then Gillingham will avoid relegation from League 1.

Julian (pictured) has already helped the Gills to eight clean sheets this season and with just a draw required on Saturday, his form could be key.

"No pressure then!" said Julian.

"That’s what my fiancee has been saying - ‘if you just don’t let in any goals then you’ll be safe'.

"It’s true, though, and what a time it would be to get a clean sheet. It would be great but to be honest, if we won 5-4 or drew 7-7, I wouldn’t care if it meant we stayed up."

The Gills have had little joy on the road so far this season but that will all be forgotten at Wycombe, insists Julian.

"People have been talking about our away form but that doesn’t matter," he said.

"This is more like a cup final and a one-off. We need to make sure we get the right result and then whatever else happens, doesn’t matter."

How vital for Gillingham have been Alan Julian's eight clean sheets?
