Glass bottle attack on teenage girl

POLICE today renewed their appeal for information after a 16-year-old girl was hit on the head with a glass bottle as she waited for a train at Birchington station. The teenager and a friend were approached by four other girls who attacked them at 9.20pm on Friday.

The injured girl was treated for cuts and bruising at the Queen Mother Hospital at Margate.

The assault is being investigated by officers from the British Transport Police.
