Martin Hayes was basking in the euphoria of guiding his team to a memorable FA Cup win over Gillingham.

Goals from Adam Birchall and Luke I'Anson sealed the win for the Whites at Priestfield.

"It's a fabulous day," said the Dover manager. "We are just on this roller coaster and it's great to get another game out of it and to have achieved what we did was fabulous.

"It's just one of those days in history that we have got to enjoy and we are part of it.

"There is one shock every year and we have to try and make the most of it. We have other games coming up and hopefully we can still maintain a push for the title in our league and hopefully it won't be a major distraction.

"The second round is new territory for me as manager and for a lot of the players and it's just going to be another great occasion.

"I've been trying to calm them down all week and they've been like kids in a sweet shop. Some of them are so young and to play infront of that kind of crowd is a new thing for some of them. To have nearly 2,500 fans cheering them on was overwhelming for a non league club."
