Gillingham will again be without several key players when they take on Exeter on Monday.

Manager Mark Stimson has seven first team players sidelined for the Bank Holiday fixture.

Josh Gowling is suspended after his red card against Brentford and Curtis Weston is also banned after picking up his fifth booking of the season in the defeat.

Andy Barcham (pictured) is awaiting results from a scan on his knee - injured in a training ground knock, and Stimson is hoping the forward doesn’t end up on the long-term injury list alongside Simon Royce, Garry Richards, Danny Jackman and Simon King.

Stimson said: "Fingers crossed he’ll be back for Accrington but if not, then soon after that. Barch is someone who can get on the outside of people and get behind them.

"We should have the results of the scan by the middle of the week and hopefully there isn’t too much damage."

Stimson, though, does have defender Matt Fry back from a one-game suspension.
