Antonio German has been recalled from his loan spell at Gillingham.

The 21-year-old joined the Gills on an initial 28-day deal from League 1 Brentford last month.

He enjoyed a successful spell at Priestfield, making seven appearances and scoring the opening goal in a 2-1 home win over Plymouth.

German’s final appearance for the Gills came as a second half substitute, replacing Deon Burton, in the win against Accrington.

Before his move to the Gills he had been restricted to just four substitute appearances for Brentford.

His parent club are chasing promotion in League 1, currently sitting fourth, and German will now be hoping to be involved on Friday night when they host Notts County.
