Gillingham have accepted an FA charge for their involvement in a second-half fracas against Accrington last weekend.

Officials and players clashed on the touchline at the Crown Ground in an incident that led to the dismissal of Gillingham’s Mark Bentley and Accrington assistant manager Jimmy Bell.

Both sides have been charged under FA Rule E20(a) – a failure to ensure its players and or/officials conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and Gillingham pleaded guilty to the offence, which is likely to lead to a four figure fine.
