Danny joined the injury list before the weekend and may require surgery.

The midfielder, pictured, has played no part for Gillingham so far this season and was left out at Hereford on Saturday after scans revealed damage to his knee.

Boss Andy Hessenthaler said: "Unfortunately he might have to have an operation, which is a bit of a blow.

"He’s been having a bit of a problem with his knee in pre-season and it seems to have got worse.

"The scans show he may have a bit of floating cartilage in the knee and it will probably need a bit of key-hole surgery."

Jackman missed four months of last season after suffering a dislocated shoulder and he only returned to full fitness towards the end of the season.
