Gillingham manager Mark Stimson has dismissed speculation linking him with a trio of players from Ipswich.

Reports in Suffolk were linking the Gills to a move for their former defender Chris Casement, who was recently released by manager Roy Keane.

Also being linked was fellow defender Dan Harding and striker Dean Bowditch.

Stimson (pictured right) though rubbished the reports.

"I’ve not had any talks with any of those players; they’re not for me," he said.

The Gills boss is looking for defensive cover, along with a midfielder, a wide player and extra cover in attack.

It is expected that Andy Barcham will put pen to paper on a long term deal before pre-season begins but the club have yet to sign any new players.
