Gillingham manager Andy Hessenthaler is expecting a backlash from Dover fans on Saturday.

Hessenthaler achieved two promotions in three years at Crabble and left them with a side which is now challenging for promotion into the top level of non-league football.

Some Dover fans, however, have not forgiven him and his management team for leaving for Gillingham in the summer.

Hessenthaler (pictured) said: "I loved the three years I spent there. I’m sure people now are saying I should have stayed but I had an opportunity to come back into league football and I took it.

"It would hurt a bit (to get abuse) and it would hurt my family but you have to have thick skin and broad shoulders."

What do you think will be the reaction to Hessenthaler on Saturday? Have your say below.
