Gillingham FC hit sponsorship jackpot

GILLINGHAM Football Club have secured a record £250,000 sponsorship deal with the housing group mhs homes.

The firm takes over from SeaFrance who had been involved in a shirt deal with the Priestfield club for the past three years.

SeaFrance boss Robin Wilkins said he had no regrets about the deal ending and a £500,000 investment in the club.

He stressed: “We put forward a package that represented good value to us and the client has found a sponsor to whom it is of greater value. That’s fine by us. We don’t mind at all."

He added: “We think we have had the best of it and now it’s time to hand the baton onto someone else.”
