Gillingham face Fleetwood Town and Rotherham United over a three-day period but it's not an issue for boss Martin Allen

Martin Allen believes he has a squad more than capable of coping with the hectic Easter schedule.

His promotion-chasing side set off on their journey north on Friday, ahead of Gillingham’s first ever Football League visit to Fleetwood, the following day.

That game, and a 570-mile round trip, is followed by an Easter Monday visit from Rotherham – a team looking to join the Gills in the automatic promotion places.

But nothing fazes Allen (pictured) and his League 2 leaders.

The Gills boss said: "It doesn’t matter to us what day we play, we have enough good players, a decent squad and they are fit.

"Fleetwood are an ambitious club, well run and they have some good players. Their climb through the leagues has been remarkable.

"On Monday, this place (Priestfield) will be rammed to the rafters, there is no doubt about it. If that doesn’t give you that extra burst you need, for an hour and a half, nothing will."

Gills will be without Andy Frampton (suspended) and Bradley Dack (ankle).

Youngsters Devante McKain, Josh Hare and Sam Muggleton will all be travelling with the squad this weekend.

Allen, meanwhile, has added young Harry Grant to his development squad.

Sheffield Wednesday striker Grant, 19, is a nephew of Allen's and will be a free agent in the summer. He arrives on loan with a view to something more permanent.

The Gills boss said: "He will be involved with our development squad with a view to earning a contract for next season."
