Manager Andy Hessenthaler will make his Gillingham players watch a video nasty of Saturday’s 5-4 defeat at Bury.

The Gills boss, pictured, was left fuming at his side’s defending after they conceded five goals away from home.

Even the four goals they scored were of scant consolation to Hessenthaler, who felt all of Bury’s goals were avoidable.

"It is going to be some video this week when we sit down and watch it," admitted Hessenthaler.

"The positives are that we had a go in the second half but at 3-1, we could have collapsed. We got it back to 3-3, then 4-4, and the fifth goal was avoidable. For me, all the goals we conceded were avoidable.

"It will be training ground stuff this week and a video to watch – a video nasty.

"We talked about the defence before the game and how strong we’ve been. We’ll sit down and see the goals but people have to grow up a little bit now.

"We can be nice to them as much as we want, but we need to start winning."
