Stockport v Gillingham

Gillingham arrive at struggling Stockport with a weakened team.

Both Adebayo Akinfenwa and Simon King have made the trip north but neither are named in Andy Hessenthaler’s 17-man squad.

Just six from seven subs are named for the Gills and included on the bench is first team coach Nicky Southall.

Elsewhere for the Gills there is a recall to the starting line-up for Andy Barcham (pictured). He makes his first start for the club since the League 2 trip to Morecambe in August, replacing injured Joe Martin.

Danny Jackman makes his first start of the season and only his third appearance of the 2010/11 season. He replaces Akinfenwa, as the Gills seem set to start with a re-jigged formation at Edgeley Park.

The Gills are unbeaten against Stockport in their last nine meetings and face a side who parted company with their manager Paul Simpson in the week.

Caretaker boss Peter Ward takes charge and he names four new faces in his team after they all arrived on loan this week.

Gills: Julian, Fuller, Nutter, Weston, Maher, McDonald, Barcham, Lawrence, Gowling, Spiller, Jackman. Subs: Richards, Bentley, Rooney, Southall, S Payne, Cronin.

County: Glennon, Lynch, Williams, Assoumani, Tansey, Elding, Husband, Demontagnac, Rose, Fletcher, Grieve. Subs: Fon Williams, Turnbull, Vincent, Griffin, Poole, Halls, Darkwath.
