Full house for ping pong pair

TWO estate agents have completed a 48-hour non-stop table tennis marathon for charity.

Group partner, Paul Jordan and office manager Jeremy Nichols, of Ward and Partners, Birchington, raised £2,700 for Demelza House children’s hospice at Sittingbourne.

Mr Jordan said: "It was a bit of a wild idea but it was amazing how supportive people were.

"Colleagues and friends rallied round and provided both financial and moral support. They were there to cheer us on which was very helpful, especially when our spirits flagged.

"The real low point was 5am on Saturday. We were kept going by the knowledge that staff from the office would be coming down in the evening, and once they arrived, they gave us the motivation to carry on."

The marathon, from 6pm on May 17 to 6pm on May 19, was supported by local businesses, family and friends.
