The draw has not been kind to any of the Kent teams in the FA Trophy first round.

Maidstone's reward for knocking out Bromley is a home tie with Blue Square Premier Histon.

Stones joint-boss Lloyd Hume said the draw could barely have been tougher.

He said: "You always want a home draw but you have to look at it as Histon are the 13th best non-league side in the country so it's a massive task.

"We will be huge underdogs but they will not fancy coming down here, they are on a hiding to nothing.

"I am confident that we can go out there and get a result against anyone. If we have everyone fit we have six players who have played Conference-level or above so I have no doubt we can match them if we perform on the day."

Welling also have a home tie with Blue Square Premier opposition after getting past Tonbridge on Sunday with Eastbourne Borough handed a trip to Park View Road.

Dover will travel to fellow Blue Square South side Havant & Waterlooville while Ebbsfleet have been handed a trip to holders Stevenage Borough in a repeat of last season's semi-final.

The ties are due to be played on Saturday, December 12.

FA Trophy, first round draw: Havant & Waterlooville v Dover, Maidstone United v Histon, Stevenage Borough v Ebbsfleet, Welling v Eastbourne Borough.
