With the Olympics just days away, don't forget to follow our exclusive coverage... from the trackside.

The KM Group's Olympic correspondent, Alex Hoad, will be providing live coverage from the Games and from a wide-range of events involving Kent athletes on every day of the Games in paper, on KentOnline, via twitter, and on kmfm.

He will provide coverage of more than a dozen Kent athletes and more international competitors based in the county, while also keeping on top of all the major events of the day.

Alex was born and raised in Kent, attending the Harvey Grammar School in Folkestone and starting out as a trainee journalist 12 years ago.

He first joined the KM Group sportsdesk in 2007, working on all our major sports and teams, including Kent CCC and Gillingham, and has been working closely with our prospective Olympians for the past six months.

He is a keen sportsman himself and getting to take part in an Olympics is the fulfilment of a lifelong dream for him... even if it is on the 'wrong' side of the notebook.
