Occupants from three flats fled their homes after a fire erupted last night.

Firefighters wore breathing apparatus to tackle the blaze in a smoke-filled kitchen in Folkestone.

Crews were called out just before 7.10pm to the three-storey property in Radnor Park Crescent.

The fire had begun in the ground floor kitchen and the cause has not yet been confirmed.

Two fire engines from Folkestone and Hythe stations were at the scene for half-an-hour.
