Firms 'duped in illegal immigrants scam'

AGRICULTURAL companies throughout Kent were duped into employing thousands of illegal immigrants by a bogus Norwich recruitment agency, it was claimed at Canterbury Crown Court today.

The alleged scam, carried on for almost three years, put at risk contracts worth millions of pounds with major supermarkets.

The allegations were made at the opening of a trial that is expected to last about three months.
